We recommend this as if you screw the bead to the rim, it will gouge the rim and may distort the O Ring inside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe main improvements with these Beads;\u003cbr\u003e* A full cavity underneath the Bead head to contain the O Ring.\u003cbr\u003e* We have made the head of the Bead flatter to get away from errant front bumpers during racing.\u003cbr\u003e* We then made the Bead head wider to better accommodate the O Ring and secure better.\u003cbr\u003e* Then we made the 3mm Hex into the head of the Bead deeper, where as the stock units were 1.9mm deep, the Flash Beads are 3.4mm deep.\u003cbr\u003e* We also went to a slightly thicker O Ring for sealing purposes....BUT, if push comes to shove and your at the track in trouble, the older smaller O Ring previously used will get you out of trouble.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe supply a Twirler in the kit and by using this Twirler you will not be able to put as much pressure (FORCE) onto the Bead into the rim (Alloy).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Twirler is also custom made to suit these Bead Locks (although standard 3mm hex keys will still fit).\u003cbr\u003e- As we made the recess in the top of the Bead deeper, the other available Twirler units did not accommodate the extra depth, so we made ours longer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- We also recommend using the Twirler rather than a ratchet or a palm held ratchet as that would generate a lot of force...(Stainless Steel into Aluminium) where the Twirler gives you a feel of the tension without over tightening and pinching\/squeezing the O Ring (as the original problem).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe FLASH Bead Kit comes with 12 Bead Locks, 12+ (spare) O Rings and the FLASH Twirler.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSTAINLESS STEEL......and able to be used in KA and other sanctioned events!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIF....you are still running with Aluminium thumb screws....its because you haven't broken them...yet!\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"flash straps","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47409448550434,"sku":"Flash903","price":45.0,"currency_code":"AUD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0263\/5707\/1906\/files\/IMG_3050.jpg?v=1788920418","url":"https:\/\/projectxracing.com\/products\/flash-bead-screw-kit-with-twirler","provider":"Project X Racing Pty Ltd","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
